Payment of a deposit indicates acceptance by the purchaser of all the conditions as listed below.

Travel Documents –

Passports - A valid passport with at least 6 months validity is a compulsory requirement prior to joining one of our tours.

International Health Insurance - A compulsory requirement prior to joining one of our tours…we recommend Travel Insurance from QBE – forms available from your INTRIGUING TRAVEL representative.

Egyptian Visas - A pre-requisite to entering Egypt and the responsibility of the traveler. Forms are available online from the Consulate General of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Sydney – www.egypt.org.au or from your INTRIGUING TRAVEL representative. The cost is the responsibility of the traveler. Egyptian visas are also available on arrival at Cairo International Airport.

Syrian Visas – A pre-requisite to entering Syria and the responsibility of the traveler. Forms are available online from the Embassy of the Syrian Arabic Republic in Canberra – www.syrianembassy.org.au or from your INTRIGUING TRAVEL representative. The cost is the responsibility of the traveler. Single entry visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issuance.

Cancellation Policy –

A fee of 25% of the tour cost will be retained if you cancel 30 – 60 days prior to departure. A fee of 50% will be retained if you cancel less than 30 days prior to departure.

Refunds –

INTRIGUING TRAVEL reserves the right to cancel any departure. In this case no liability will fall upon INTRIGUING TRAVEL and any payments made will be fully refunded. The costs of any personal travel arrangements you have made however will not be reimbursed. No refund will be issued for those failing to join their selected tour or for a partially completed tour.

Tour Costs –

Pricing is subject to change without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, such as airline fare increases and currency fluctuations.

Single Supplement –

All accommodation except for one night camping in the Western Desert is based on twin share occupancy. If a traveler is traveling alone and wishes to occupy a single room, this is available on request at time of booking and is subject to payment of the additional single supplement of $1500.00 plus the basic tour cost.

Itinerary –

INTRIGUING TRAVEL reserves the right to vary or cancel any tour should circumstances beyond our control warrant that such changes would be in the best interest of the traveler or for any other operational reason.

Baggage and Personal Effects –

All baggage and personal effects are at the passenger’s own risk at all times.

Statement of Responsibility –

INTRIGUING TRAVEL acts only as agent for the client with respect to services provided by hotels, airlines, restaurants, tour operators, road transport providers and other associated services, and cannot be held liable for any person, firm or corporation who provides such services.

INTRIGUING TRAVEL will take all reasonable care to provide the client with specified services however all bookings with INTRIGUING TRAVEL are therefore subject to the limitations of liability imposed by the underlying operators involved in the tour.

INTRIGUING TRAVEL accepts no responsibility or liability for death, injury, sickness or accident to any person or loss of or any damage to any property or otherwise, or any cancellation, delay, detention, irregularity, deviation, substitution arising from or in connection with any accommodation, transportation, conveyance or any other services provided.

INTRIGUING TRAVEL is under no obligation or liability to any person as a result of inaccuracy, misdescription or changes to any tour or itinerary or for the losses or additional expenses due to delays, strikes, war, terrorist action, quarantine, acts of God, improper documents or any other cause.

Neither INTRIGUING TRAVEL, nor its agents or employees shall be liable or responsible for any additional expense or liability incurred by any tour member as a result of any of the forgoing causes.

INTRIGUING TRAVEL therefore will exercise due care in the preparation of an itinerary, however, specifically disclaims responsibility for any loss, injury, accident, delay or death arising from the tour in question.
